EuroBSDCon 2019

The 18th European BSD Conference will take place in Lillehammer, Norway on September 21-22, 2019. Workshops and tutorials will take place on September 19-20.

The venue and speaker hotel is the Scandic Lillehammer Hotel. The hotel combines classic architecture with modern conference facilities. It also boasts a spa, a swimming pool, and a gym, and lies at the edge of the forest within walking distance of the city centre as well as the Maihaugen open-air museum.

Each apartment has one room with a double bed, two rooms with two bunk beds each, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace. Unlike many other apartment hotels, they are cleaned daily.

Other hotels in Lillehammer

Another low-cost alternative is Stasjonen hostel near the railway station.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Mølla is a boutique hotel located in an old flour mill near the center of Lillehammer.



Lillehammer is the terminus of the R10 line from Drammen via Oslo Central Station and Oslo Airport Gardermoen, as well as a stop on the Dovre line from Oslo to Trondheim. Travel time is approximately 2h10m from Oslo Central Station or 1h50m from Oslo Airport Gardermoen. There is also a twice-daily bus service (NX146) from Oslo Bus Terminal via Oslo Airport Gardermoen.

Once in Lillehammer, the venue and hotels are within walking distance of the railway station and bus terminal.
